Hard to Find Shoes

One of my biggest concerns with being a plus size girl is finding cute shoes in my size. Designers seem to think that everyone who wears heels have a size 10 narrow foot. I am a size thirteen double wide (comfortably) and I say, why is it so hard to add a little extra wood or cork or leather to the sides and tops of shoes so we big girls don't have to settle on buying ugly closed toe career shoes to wear with our hot dresses? Furthermore, just because we are big doesn't mean we don't want to squeeze our feet into some hot heels like our skinnier counterparts.

On my quest to find shoes for me, I found that either they were the right size, but too narrow; or they were the right width, but too small. If companies are going to charge us big girls more money for our clothes and more money for bigger shoes, can't they be just as cute a those for slimmer women? And shouldn't we be able to go into regular stores to find those shoes instead of resorting to ordering online, waiting two weeks to get them, then end up sending them back because their sizes ran small and having to wait two more weeks to get a new pair that we love a whole lot less than the first ones?

All this is just a ploy for society to show plus sized women that there is no room for us on this earth when on the contrary, stores with plus sized clothing sell more of those sizes than that of slim women. Designers (primarily high end designers like Prada, Chanel, or Louis Vuitton) need to get their heads out their butts and actually take a look at the women that roam the earth. The prejudice needs to end people!
